You will be working with a contractor in Energy Engineering, who specialise in offering solutions to the oil and gas, marine, and offshore industries.This is a Permanent Position, reporting to Management. First Achieve's Engineering Division are seeking a Design Engineer for their client who provide commercial recovery vehicles for their clients across the UK.Due to expansion within the business , they're looking to add to their team.In this role you will work as part of a team to produce designs for the in-house manufacturing plant. You will have a Mechanical/design knowledge as well as experience in using CAD software.The Role:Working as part of a team on a range of light to heavy duty commercial vehicle projects.Identifying customer requirements/ specifications, reproducing these into concept designs.Design of assemblies in 2D/3D ranging from full assembly down to individual parts.Creation of BOM.Liaising with the production on day-to-day basis.Full product cycle experience from design through to manufacturing.Successful Candidate:Experienced with AUTOCAD 2D and INVENTOR 3D package.Will be able to create 2D and 3D drawings.Experienced in designing light/medium sheet metal parts.Experienced in designing machined parts.Experienced in the design of light to heavy metal fabrications.Hydraulics and pneumatics knowledge (not essential)
