First Achieve's Engineering Division have an excellent opportunity for an HSE Manager to join an established international company in the Edinburgh-Falkirk-Glasgow region. Our client is a heavy manufacturer, dedicated to small to large scale industrial manufacturing products worldwide.

This will be a senior role, where you will be expected to operate as part of a cohesive team, as well as autonomously.
Duties will include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Oversee and ensure the implementation of safety and environmental controls for all manufacturing, service, repair, office, yard, and grounds operations.
- Provide leadership and guidance to local HSE representatives at all UK sites, acting as the primary HSE contact for the UK.
- Manage and drive risk assessment and COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) programmes.
- Administer contractor permit control on site.
- Chair local safety committees to promote continuous safety improvement.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of the company's HSE systems.
- Assist in setting and achieving site-specific HSE objectives, aligned with corporate-level targets and goals.
Essential skills, experience and knowledge:
The successful candidate must have:
- Experience working within an engineering or manufacturing environment is essential.
- NEBOSH and IOSH certifications are preferred.
- Strong understanding of ISO/OHSAS standards.
- Excellent communication skills and a proven team player.
