First Achieve's Engineering Division have a fantastic opportunity for a Mechanical Fitter to work on our client's WWTW. Our client is a global business, who operate within across various industries, including Nuclear, Oil & Gas & Petrochemical industries.

The main purpose of this role is to carry out mechanical fitting activities associated with the overhaul, repair and testing of rotating equipment, Pumps, Gearboxes, hydro turbines, electric motors and valves in accordance with customer requirements. This includes the removal, installation and commissioning of mechanical assemblies on site.

Skill Required

  • Time served Mechanical Fitter, with Maintenance Experience
  • Experience of having worked within General engineering and Power Industries
  • Contractors Safety Passport (CCNSG) Card or Country Specific Safety Passport Card
  • Must be eligible for UK Security Clearance
  • Current UK Passport and Valid Driving License are required.
  • Must be an excellent communicator across various management and experience levels.
  • Willingness to undertake any ad hoc or unskilled jobs which are necessary

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow site inductions, risk assessments and toolbox talks, taking the appropriate action to maintain the highest standards of Safety and Quality in accordance with both Trillium and client safety methods.
  • Follow technical method statements with the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to a high degree of accuracy
  • Ensure on time completion of reports, assembly and tests to meet department K.P.I's
  • Measure and record dimensions, tolerances and clearances as required
  • Be proactive in reporting and resolving any concerns, reporting any accidents and incidents
  • Ensure all permit-to-work, and other work order card procedures are in place prior to and during operations.
  • Willingness to undertake any ad hoc or unskilled jobs which are necessary.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team.

The successful candidate will work closely with design, production, and project management teams to create precise and detailed drawings for bespoke products that meet both customer requirements and manufacturing standards.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Drawing Production: Create accurate and detailed 2D/3D CAD drawings for bespoke counters, bars, food displays, and associated fittings using AutoCAD or other relevant software.Design Development: Collaborate with the design team to translate conceptual designs into manufacturing-ready technical drawings and specifications. Ensure all designs comply with structural, safety, and functional standards.Liaise with Stakeholders: Work closely with clients, designers, and project managers to ensure designs meet client expectations. Ensure drawings reflect the practical aspects of production, installation, and functionality.Material Selection: Work with the procurement and manufacturing teams to ensure the correct materials and finishes are specified for each project, ensuring both aesthetic and functional quality.Essential:CAD Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD (2D and 3D) or similar software for technical drawing.
